Packet Patch

Terms of Use

Last updated: October 3, 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Packet Patch (German edition: “Samenkiste”) is a web app for elementary school classrooms. It is provided by Michael Andres, Hetkerbruch 21, 46286 Dorsten, Germany (“we”). These terms apply to using the app and to licenses for the full version.

2. Free use

You can use the app without an account and without paying: with as many classes as you like, all games, and the first weekly box. We keep improving the app and may change its content and features.

3. Buying the full version through Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Your purchase contract is therefore with Paddle.com Market Limited, and Paddle’s buyer terms also apply. The price is $19.99, paid once; taxes are calculated at checkout. There is no subscription. After payment, you get your license key by email.

4. What the license covers

The full version is a license for one teacher, for all of their classes, on every device they use for teaching. It unlocks all weekly boxes in Packet Patch, never expires, and includes app updates. We may offer later add-ons, such as a new season with its own story, separately.

The license key is personal. Please do not share, sell, or publish it. We may block a published or misused key in future versions of the app. The list of blocked keys ships with the app update; the app never checks with us online.

5. Your data and backups

The app stores everything only in the browser on your device. Backups are up to you – for example, with the class key or the backup file in the teacher menu. If the browser clears its site data, we cannot restore what was lost.

6. If we ever shut down Packet Patch

After the first visit, the app works offline, and the license key is checked on the device only. Your license doesn’t depend on our server. If we ever discontinue Packet Patch, we will announce it on this website and make the last version of the app available for download, so that you or your school can host it yourselves. You can take your classes along with the class key or the backup file.

7. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. See our refund policy. Any statutory rights you have are not affected.

8. Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and under product liability law. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. For free use, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence.

9. Final provisions

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer, any mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live still apply. If we change these terms, licenses already purchased keep the scope described at the time of purchase.
